MARK IT™Locates Inc.

MARK IT Locates Inc. is the preferred private utility locating firm for the construction of the Eglinton Crosstown Light Rail Transit (LRT) subway stations. It is a component of Metrolinx's 300 million dollar project to improve coordination and infrastructure of public transportation in the Greater Toronto and Hamilton areas. We perform utility locates associated with the construction of transit stations on Eglinton Avenue West, between Yonge Street and Black Creek Drive.

On this project we work in tandem with Kenaiden Contracting Ltd., the contractor of the Crosstown LRT project. Mark It Locates Inc. is responsible for completing all private utility locates and coordinating all public locates. This enables Kenaiden’s contractors, such as Pacchiosi North America Inc. and Urkkada Technology Ltd., to undergo construction without fear of penetrating buried utility lines. Such an occurrence can be detrimental to the projects timeline, budget, and most importantly, personnel.

In addition to standard locates with Utility Locating, we provide Ground Penetrating Radar (GPR) services. With GPR, utility lines at depths of 40 feet have been located, all without the need for excavation or drilling. GPR has been used to locate storm drains at the Allen Subway Station as well as water mains at the Caledonia Rd Station.
